Yes it is named pineapple bun but without any pineapple in it. I reckon it is named in such is because of the rough texture of the skin on top. Nevertheless, this ever famous tea time snack in Hong Kong and Taiwan is made wonderful by the combination of soft bun and sweet crusty skin.
